Better Late Than Never   3 comments

There’s someone in my life who doesn’t think I should do this blog. They can’t believe I “air my dirty laundry” day after day for friends and strangers alike to read. This person’s words were part of the reason I didn’t post my lunchtime enlightenment today. But now, as I sit and think about it, I don’t think that’s right. It’s my life, my blog, my form of daily creativity, so why should I allow one person’s words to stop me? I enjoy doing it, which is the bottom line.

So! Here is what I did today (albeit without pictures . . . see first paragraph)

I was going to have lunch with my husband, but his work schedule got a little nuts so we’ll have to reschedule for a later time. So I first went and looked around at Barnes and Noble. B&N is kind of like crack: so addicting but so bad on your wallet. Which is why I only go there once in a great while. I picked up a cheap book and bypassed – yes BYPASSED – the Godiva chocolate display. I was proud of my crazy self.

Then I went to grab a bite to eat while I sat in the car and read my new book.

Don’t you love how there are some books that just grab you and suck you into the pages? There have been some that I’ve read that I just try to try to get into because a friend told me how much they loved it. But I just don’t “get” it. So if I find a series or an author that I like, well, I’m hooked.

So today’s enlightenment is this:

  • Don’t let other people’s opinions throw you off your course.
  • Stay true to what you love and the rest will fall into place.
  • Deer hunters – be safe!
