Subching   Leave a comment

Yeah, I was trying to find a witty way to combine Subway with lunching, hence: “Subching”. It doesn’t roll off your tongue like some words do, but it still looks cool.

So guess where I went to lunch today? If you guessed Subway, you are very observant and awesome. My husband and I made up for our missed lunch day from Monday. It’s only a half hour, but it’s better than nothing. Plus it actually seems longer because we are able to talk more with less kid interruptions, thereby covering a larger amount of topics.

Today, our topics were: work, family, daycare, school, and family. We had serious conversations today, not witty and lighthearted like we normal. But it’s okay because some things needed to be discussed. Like: why some days our daycare seems to want to chat like crazy and other days she is helping us out the door. Or whether or not I should have a Tastefully Simple party, which involves house cleaning and prep work. Or how I get the “wife of the month” award while he’s deer hunting. Or how my online instructor for a current class doesn’t get back to me on an assignment that’s due tomorrow. Or how I’m lucky to have such a great husband. See? All very important stuff. 🙂

It was nice to get out of the office for a bit today because even though it’s cooler, it’s still sunny which feels good through windows.

Enlightenment:

  • If you have a spouse that loves you for all your quirks, DON’T LET THEM GO.
  • Appreciate little stolen moments of togetherness, no matter who they’re with.
